The tree creepers ( Rhabdornis ), also known as the Philippines tree creepers , form a genus in the subfamily of the same name of the tree creepers (Rhabdornithinae) within the starling family from the order of the passerine birds (Passeriformes). In this subfamily, described by James Cowan Greenway in 1967, there are three species that are found exclusively in the Philippines .
Males and females differ in the color of the plumage. They are characterized by strong legs with which they can walk along the tree trunks. With their long, slightly curved beak, they look for insects in crevices of the bark. Nectar is picked up on flowers with the brush-shaped tongue or they eat fruit.
