Chest (unit)
The chest was a measure of volume for hard coal . There is obviously a connection between the Thruhe or Thrune, which was an elongated open wooden box used to carry tin ore in various smelting works. In the Swiss was a similar case Trucke and in Austria it was the Truchel. In Bohemia the measure was called truche. There were also spellings with D, such as Druhe or Druche.
