Tsantali

Tsantali ( Greek Ευάγγελος Τσάνταλης α.ε. - Οινοποιία ) is a winery from Agios Pavlos on the Chalkidiki peninsula , the growing areas are in Macedonia and Thrace . In addition to wines, spirits are also produced.

The company was founded in 1890 by Evangelos Tsantalis. In 1945 Tsantali opened a distillery in Thessaloniki . Since 1971, viticulture on Mount Athos has been reactivated by Tsantali, where organic wines are produced, as well as the multiple award-winning Abaton . In 1975 the export of the wines began. In 1991 the state winery at Olymp Rapsani was taken over.

The company is currently the largest winery in Greece (→ Viticulture in Greece ) and produces 18 million bottles a year.
