Czechophiles
As Czechophile (Czech friends) one referred to
- those Slovaks among the Slavophiles who advocated unity with the Czechs (e.g. Jan Kollár opposite Ľudovít Štúr )
- those Slovaks who supported Czechoslovakism or the establishment of Czechoslovakia ( Milan Rastislav Štefánik versus Andrej Hlinka ), each in contrast to Slovak nationalists
- Croatian nationalists like Stjepan Radić , a student and supporter of the first Czechoslovak President Masaryk
- contemptuously those Sudeten Germans in Czechoslovakia who did not support the National Socialist Henlein Separatists
