Tscherwona Ruta (Ensemble)
Tscherwona Ruta was a Soviet musical group that existed between 1971 and 1990.
Tscherwona Ruta was founded in 1971 by Anatoly Evdokimenko with the Chernivtsi Philharmonic Orchestra for the accompaniment of Sofia Rotaru . The founding members of the group were part of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Chernivtsi University .
The group was particularly popular in Eastern Europe and visited Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, the GDR, Finland and West Berlin on their tours .
