Tuathal Techtmar
Tuathal Techtmar , also Túathal Techtmar [ 'tuaθal' tʼextvar ] ("Tuathal the Legitimate"), is the name of a legend from the historical cycle of Celtic mythology in Ireland .
The Uí Néill King Tuathal Techtmar is in the stories of the grandfather of King Conn Cétchathach and Great King of Ireland in the 1st century AD. According to legend, he paid tribute to Bóruma ( éraic , Wergeld ; also lóg n-enech , Honorary Award) raised by the Irish province of Leinster . From parts of the four original provinces of Leinster, Ulster , Connacht and Munster , he created the new province of Mide .
