The Tuida Cove (English; Bulgarian залив Туида saliw Tuida ) is a 4.13 km wide and 1.56 km long bay on the southeast coast of Nelson Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located east of Ivan Alexander Point and west of Slavotin Point and was created as a result of the glacier retreat on the island at the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21st century .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2012 after the medieval Tuida fortress in southeastern Bulgaria .
