Tula Roy

Tula Roy (* 1934 in Bueriis , Italy ) is a Swiss filmmaker and pioneer of Swiss film. She made one of the most important films about Swiss women's history with the title Another Story .

life and work

After training as a photographer in Basel, Tula Roy worked as a freelancer for the press, architecture and industry. After taking film courses at F + F in Zurich and at the Zurich University of Art and Design, she works as a freelance filmmaker. She also teaches at the Pestalozzianum in Zurich. Numerous films have been made since the mid-1970s, often in collaboration with cameraman Christoph Wirsing. She was a member of the Swiss Film Women Association .
