Tullio Terranova

Tullio Terranova (* 1927 ) is an Italian pathologist .

Live and act

Terranova graduated ( Laurea ) in medicine and surgery from the University of Messina in 1950 and was then assistant at the Institute of Pathology at the University of Palermo . Terranova was later professor and director of the Institute of General Pathology at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome .

He worked partly with Otto Warburg , among other things on the biochemistry of cancer cells.

In 1963 he received the Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter Prize .
