Tuntematon Kimi Räikkönen , ISBN 978-952-234-538-7 is an authorized biography of the Finnish racing driver Kimi Räikkönen from Kari Hotakainen . This biography set a new record for a sports book in September 2018 with 100,000 copies sold in Finland. Around 200,000 books had been sold in Finland by the beginning of February 2019. In 2018, the biography was the best-selling book in Finland according to the Finnish magazine Ilta Sanomat .

The English translation The Unknown Kimi Raikkonen , ISBN 9781471177668 , was therefore published on October 18, 2018 with high expectations. The German-language edition is called: The Unknown Kimi Räikkönen , ISBN 978-3785726518 , and was published by Bastei Lübbe .

  • Motorsport Total rated the book as "one of the worst motorsport biographies in recent years" and "disappointment for all Kimi and Formula 1 fans". Only the nine-page chapter "Sixteen Days" about a sixteen-day alcohol intoxication Raikkonen was found to be worth reading.
