Tuorlan observatorio

The Tuorlan observatorio is an observatory of the University of Turku , about ten kilometers east of Turku in Finland . It was founded in 1952 on the initiative of Yrjö Väisälä .

The observatory has a Dall Kirkham reflector telescope , which is the largest optical telescope in Finland with a diameter of one meter, as well as a 0.7 meter Schmidt camera and, especially for solar observation, a 2 meter radio telescope .
