The Turbay T-1 Tucán is a light travel and sport aircraft produced by the Argentine manufacturer Sociedad Anonima Sfreddo & Paolini .

History and construction

The Tucán was designed by the Argentine designer Alfredo Turbay and manufactured by the Sociedad Anonima Sfreddo & Paolini. The machine is a stripped high-wing aircraft with a fixed tail wheel landing gear and has a single-seat, closed cockpit behind the wing. The aircraft was from a Continental-A65 - four-cylinder powered -Boxermotor with 48 kW. The first flight took place on April 5, 1943. Due to the lack of material during the Second World War , only six machines are said to have been built.
