Ernst Schmeel
Friedrich Wilhelm Ernst Schmeel (born January 5, 1845 in Walldorf , † January 9, 1913 in Darmstadt ) was a German lawyer and politician . He was a member of the Second Chamber of the Hessian State Parliament (1897–1900).
Life
Ernst Schmeel was the son of pastor Georg Schmeel and his wife Johanette Ferdinande nee Guntrum. Schmeel, who was a Protestant denomination, married Emilie nee Ludwig (1846–1929).
Schmeel, he studied law in Giessen and Heidelberg . During his studies in 1862 he became a member of the Gießen fraternity Germania . After graduating, he worked as a lawyer and procurator at the Darmstadt Court of Justice from 1871 and as a lawyer at the Darmstadt Regional Court and Higher Regional Court from 1880 . In 1887 he became a city councilor in Darmstadt. From 1897 to 1900 he was a member (constituency of Darmstadt II) of the National Liberal Party in the second chamber of the Hessian state parliament. In 1899 he became a councilor , in 1901 a notary and in 1907 a secret councilor before he retired in 1911.
