Philipp Diehl (politician)

Johann Philipp Diehl (born March 15, 1815 in Darmstadt ; † April 12, 1887 ibid) was a German bookseller and Hessian politician ( Progress , NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Philipp Diehl was the son of the bookbinder Caspar Diehl and his wife Katharina, née Preusser. Diehl, who was a Protestant, was a bookseller in Darmstadt and married Marie Katharine Margarethe nee Kratz (1818-1883).

From 1856 to 1866 and again from 1878 to 1884 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Darmstadt .
