Ernst Ludwig Rube

Ernst Ludwig Rube (* 1783 in Darmstadt ; † May 11, 1870 there ) was a Hessian pharmacist and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Ernst Ludwig Rube was the son of the chief hospital surgeon Johann Melchior Rube (1739–1794) and his wife Fridreike Eleonore, née Dietz (1754–1825). Rube, who was a Protestant, married Caroline Dorothea Johannette née Siebert (1788-1852) on September 28, 1811 in Darmstadt.

Rube was a pharmacist and medical assessor in Darmstadt. In 1817 he became a medical councilor in the medical college. In 1844 he was promoted to Dr. phil is doing his doctorate . From 1826 to 1830 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Darmstadt . In the estates he represented conservative-liberal positions.

In 1857 he sold the pharmacy he ran in Darmstadt, Marktplatz 1, to the pharmacist Werner Carl Albrecht Calmberg from Lauterbach and his wife Emma Calmberg, née. Welcker.
