Turingio Internacia (German Thuringia international ) is the name of the monthly Esperanto broadcast by Radio FREI from Erfurt . The aim is to present Thuringia and its capital Erfurt as internationally as possible.

program

Since January 2012, the broadcast has been broadcast for one hour every first Sunday of the month at 8:00 p.m. local time. Some parts of the program are in German. In the first few years, each program consisted of the following five sections:

  • News from the Erfurt region (with a summary in German)
  • Book corner (excerpts from original literature in Esperanto or from translations)
  • Local history walks in Erfurt and Thuringia (section "Thuringiensia")
  • Listener mailbox (bilingual; sometimes with interviews)
  • Language course

This scheme has been softened a bit over time.

After broadcasting via FM and as a live stream on the Internet, a podcast enables the program to be listened to with a delay. The texts are also posted online. The show shows u. a. how Esperanto can be used today in the field of tourism advertising. Since October 2019, the last quarter of an hour of the Esperanto broadcast has been filling a column in Latin called "Erfordia Latina".
