Turnir ( Russian Турнир ) is a stationary game console of the first console generation , which was released in 1978 in the Soviet Union . It was produced in the Soviet Union from 1978 to 1982 and is the only known Soviet console based on the AY-3-8500 chipset ( Pong on a chip ) from the US company General Instrument . Prices for the console ranged from 150 rubles when it was first released in 1978 to 96 rubles in the late 1980s. The system also has an integrated power pack with an electrical voltage of 9 volts and weighs around 2.5 kg.
