Tutoatasi Fakafanua

Kinikinilau Tutoatasi Fakafanua (* 1961 ; † February 24, 2006 in Nuku'alofa ) was a Tongan politician and nobleman. He was a member of the UK Cabinet from 1991 to 2001 in various ministerial posts.

Fakafanua practiced as a lawyer in Auckland . In August 1991 he was brought into the cabinet of Prime Minister Baron Vaea of ​​Houma as the youngest member of the government and took over the department for labor, trade and industry. In May 1995 he moved to the head of the Ministry of Finance.

After Baron Vaea's age-related resignation, Fakafanua became Minister of Education in Prince Ulukalala Lavaka Ata's cabinet in January 2001. In October 2001 he resigned after a financial scandal and moved back to New Zealand .

Fakafanua collapsed on his morning walk on February 24, 2006 and passed away.
