Tverholmen (meaning diagonal island translated from Norwegian ) is an island off the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It lies between the islands of Foldøya and Kjølen on the east side of Stefansson Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them using aerial photographs taken between January and February 1937 during the Lars Christensen Expedition 1936/37 .
