The Twin Peaks ( English for twin peaks ) are two defined mountain peaks of 730 m and 750 m height in Grahamland on the Antarctic Peninsula . They tower 2.5 km north of Mount Taylor and 3 km west of the head end of Hope Bay on the northern reaches of the Trinity Peninsula .
They were discovered during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of polar explorer Otto Nordenskjöld . The descriptive naming was carried out by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey after a survey of the area in 1946.
