Twist (cocktail)
A twist is the term used for flavoring a cocktail with the help of a twisted piece of lemon , lime or orange peel .
To do this, cut off a piece of peel from the citrus fruit . It is important that the white, also called pith , parts of the shell are removed from this piece of shell. They contain bitter substances . Finally, take the piece of cup and hold it just above the surface of the drink so that the outside of the cup faces the surface of the drink. By twisting the shell piece with both hands, the oil splashes onto the surface of the drink. In addition, you can rub the edge of the glass with the bowl. Finally, the piece of bowl is added to the drink as a garnish.
