Two Lakes (English for "two lakes") refers to a lake in Lake Clark National Preserve in southwest Alaska (USA). The lake is divided into two basins by a narrow headland. The name of the lake is derived from this.
geography
The 345 m high lake of glacial origin is located on the western flank of the western Alaska range not far from its southernmost point. The 13 km² lake is 8 km long and up to 2 km wide. It is located about 20 km north of Telaquana Lake . The lake is traversed by the Necons River , a left tributary of the Stony River , in a south-westerly direction. There are several glaciers in the catchment area of the lake. Their meltwater gives the lake a turquoise color.
