The Hallet Valley is a valley in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Western Asgard Range , it lies between the Medley Ridge and the Vortex Col .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the valley in 2004 after the US geophysicist Bernard Hallet of the University of Washington , who carried out surface stability studies in the Antarctic dry valleys between 1995 and 2002 as part of the United States Antarctic Program .
