The Lower Tazimina Lake is a lake in the southwest of the US state of Alaska .
The Lower Tazimina Lake ( lower English for "lower") is the lower of two elongated lakes on the course of the Tazimina River . The 12.5 km² large lake of glacial origin is located 20 km east of Nondalton and 20 km south of Port Alsworth at an altitude of 194 m in the Chigmit Mountains , a mountain range of the northern Aleutian chain . The Lake Clark is located 10 km north-west of the lake. The lake, which is 11.1 km long and a maximum of 1.2 km wide, is traversed by the Tazimina River, which is aligned in a northeast-southwest direction. The lake is located within Lake Clark National Preserve . 9 km up the valley, further east, is Upper Tazimina Lake .
