The Upper Tazimina Lake is a lake in the southwest of the US state of Alaska .
The Upper Tazimina Lake ( upper English for "upper") is the upper of two elongated lakes on the course of the Tazimina River . The 15.9 km² large lake of glacial origin is located at an altitude of 234 m in the Chigmit Mountains , a mountain range of the northern Aleutian chain . Next village is on Lake Clark situated Port Alsworth . The lake, which is 13.4 km long and a maximum of 1.4 km wide, flows through the east-west direction from the Tazimina River. The lake is located within Lake Clark National Preserve . 9 km down the valley, further west, is theLower Tazimina Lake .
