Singer World Series 1994

The Singer World Series 1994 was a four-nation tournament that was held from September 4th to 17th, 1994 in Sri Lanka in one-day cricket . In the tournament, which was part of the 1994 international cricket season, teams from Australia , India and Pakistan took part alongside the host . In the final India was able to prevail against Sri Lanka with 6 wickets.

prehistory

Pakistan and Sri Lanka played a tour in Sri Lanka immediately before , which Pakistan won with 2-0 in the Test series and 4-1 in the ODI series. It was the first tour of the season for Australia and India.

format

In a preliminary round, each team played against each other once. There were two points for a win, one for a draw or a rejection. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played for the tournament victory.
