Ty - sirka

The talent show Ty - sirka ( Cyrillic. Ти - зірка , dt. About you're a star ) is the Ukrainian selection process for the participants of the country at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2006 .

After the poor performance of Ukraine in 2005 in its own country, the Ukrainian television broadcaster NTU (Natsionalna Telekompanija Ukraïny), which is responsible for participating, decided to take a new approach in 2006 in selecting the artist.

In Tysirka , twelve potential ESC participants were selected in castings and competed against each other in several television shows. The television viewers selected candidates from the show every two weeks until the finalists Tina Karol, Irotschka Rosenfeld and Kyrylo Turytschenko. These will present one song each in a big final broadcast on March 11th. The winner's title will be selected by audience voting and an expert jury.
