Tycho Weissgerber

Tycho Weißgerber (born July 10, 1952 in Ternitz , Austria ) is a former German fencer and participant in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal. He fought at TSC Eintracht Dortmund .

Weißgerber became German junior champion in saber fencing in 1973. In 1974 he won the bronze medal at the German Saber Championships for active players. In 1976 he was runner-up again. Weißgerber took part in the saber singles at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Like Walter Convents and Harald Hein , he was a private in the Bundeswehr at the time. After he was eliminated in the semi-finals, he finished 20th. In 1980 he won an international tournament in Münster in the men's floret.
