The subway inspectors in frozen women's clothes were an a cappella formation from Hessen known throughout Germany .
history
The quintet , which assigned itself to the genre “Hardcore a cappella”, met in 1991 at a workshop in Oberursel.
Stylistically, it combined music with comedy . Often the singers used costumes on stage. Musically, they satirized well-known songs (partly as a cover, partly with new lyrics) and used a rather weird humor for songs they wrote themselves.
The band gained increasing notoriety in 1996 with the self-written song "Hibbelisch", for which they also released their first self-made music video, recorded in a laundromat in Frankfurt-Bockenheim.
Up until the turn of the year 2008/2009, the band gave a regular New Year's Eve concert at the Batschkapp rock club in Frankfurt .
In March 2008 the band announced their departure for May 2009, the title of their farewell tour: “We'll be gone”. The last concert took place on May 1st, 2009 in Frankfurt.
Since the summer of 2012, despite their official separation status, the control officers have been back on stage with the same original line-up and occasionally give concerts together in the form of irregular tour blocks and mini-tours.
Keller is now active as a solo artist, and he also forms the improvisation duo The Mazers with Tiberia and Rajkovic . Bannoehr was a baritone with the Dutch a cappella quartet Rock4 from 2009 to 2012 .
