Andel is a station of the Prague Metro on the line B . It is located in the center of the Smíchov district and is named after the intersection Anděl (Czech for "angel").

The central platform is 146 meters long and 35 meters deep. Escalator tunnels lead to the surface on both sides. The northern exit is in the administration and shopping complex Zlatý Anděl , the southern one on Na Knížecí square . The platform has been accessible via two elevators since 2016. Anděl is a transfer point for tram and bus lines.

The Anděl station was built in 1985 and opened with the commissioning of line B on November 2, 1985. It was named Moskevská after the Russian capital, Moscow , and was planned by Soviet architects as a symbol of the Czechoslovak-Soviet friendship. In the same year the Praschskaja station, planned by the Czechs and named after Prague, was opened in Moscow . On February 22, 1990, stations whose names were associated with the communist regime were renamed, including Anděl. The station was affected by the 2002 flood.
