The UAV DACH e. V. is an interest group that advocates civil and commercial unmanned aviation. The association was founded in 2000 by DLR , Diehl Defense , RUAG and Airbus . The working language of the association is German.

The UAV DACH eV describes its goals in the statutes of the association:

The association promotes unmanned aviation. He is committed to the development, design, manufacture and safe and effective operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (hereinafter “UAS”). He opposes the threatening and improper use of drones; is a professional association primarily for the German-speaking area of ​​Europe; offers a platform and a network for technical discussions on unmanned aviation; communicates the interests of the association and its members in the political-parliamentary area, in particular in transport, economic and security policy, as well as in the aviation administration; represents the general and country-specific interests of its members and promotes the business models of its members; represents itself and its members at national and international events and collects, structures and evaluates relevant information from unmanned aviation in order to create points of view and expertise. The overriding goals are the economic use of UAS for the benefit of the population, the achievement of broad public acceptance and operational safety in the airspace and without any danger to people or property on the ground.

The UAV DACH eV operates an office in Braunschweig . Technical topics and comments on ordinances, standards and legislative proposals are processed in seven specialist groups.

It is divided into the specialist groups Airspace Integration, Aviation Law, Certification and Standards, Aviation System, Information Security, Aviation Companies, Training Companies and Personnel, Drone Detection and Defense, as well as Applications and Projects.

Memberships and holdings

UAV DACH eV is a member and represents its members in several committees and associations, such as B. UVSI, DIN NL 131-01 Unmanned Aviation, ASD-STAN D5WG8, ISO TC 20 / SC 16, JARUS SCB, EASA Working Groups "U-Space", EASA Rule Making Task Force Certified Category RMT.0230 and EASA Working Group Standard scenarios.

UAV DACH eV is indirectly represented in other working groups through its members.

The association maintains the subsidiary UAV DACH-Services UG. The subsidiary operates the recognized body DE.AST.001 as a testing organization for the drone driving license and advises UAS operators and prepares reports.

Events

The UAV DACH eV organizes technical discussions and conferences: European Drone Summit, technical discussion "Drones in civil protection", UTSEC conference and expo for unmanned technologies, Interaerial Solutions, Rotordrone Forum and Drone Pioneer.
