UCI Paracycling World Championships

The UCI Para Cycling World Championships ( English UCI Para Cycling World Championships ) are those of the International Cycling Union (UCI) discharged World Championships in Para Cycling . They first took place under this name in 2007 .

history

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) organized the first IPC Paracycling World Championships in 1994 . In 2002 the UCI and the IPC signed an agreement to incorporate paracycling into the UCI program. The last point of integration was the successful organization of the IPC Paracycling World Championships 2006 in Aigle by the UCI, whereupon the transfer from Paracycling to the UCI was officially announced in February 2007.

The first UCI Paracycling World Championships finally took place in Bordeaux in August 2007 . Since 2009, rail and road competitions have been held at different times and locations as UCI Paracycling World Rail Championships and UCI Paracycling World Road Championships.
