The UDIK ( Bosnian : Udruženje za društvena istraživanja i komunikacije ), German: Association for Social Research and Communication , is a Bosnian and regional non-governmental organization for human rights and humanitarian international law, which was founded in 2013 in connection with the disputes in the former Yugoslavia. The UDIK has its offices in Sarajevo and Brčko . The founder and coordinator of the UDIK is Edvin Kanka Ćudić .

Activities in the field of human rights protection

The aim of the UDIK is to collect facts, documents and information about the genocide , war crimes and human rights violations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the former Yugoslavia. The UDIK also works beyond national borders by supporting post-conflict societies in the region and trying to resolve former human rights violations. The UDIK also accompanies the transitional justice program, which is aimed at the victims, with three main components:

  • Document
  • Justice and Institutional Reform
  • Culture of remembrance
