The Unió Esportiva Extremenya is an Andorran football club that currently plays in the Segona Divisió . The association is based in the small town of La Massana .
history
UE Extremenya was founded in 1998 and was promoted to the Primera Divisió in the first season . There you could only hold on for one season before it went back to the Segona Divisió . Two more times they made it to Andorra's highest soccer league, but both times they were relegated without a chance.
The club has already made three name changes in its ten-year history. In 1998 they started as Francfurt Cerni . Only four years later (2002) the club became FC Cerni . After only one more year, the last name change followed. Since then, the club has been running as Unió Esportiva Extremenya .
