Rokeri s Moravu ( Serbian - Cyrillic Рокери с Мораву , German: Die Rocker von der Morava ) was a Yugoslav and Serbian parody and folk band . Their music was a mix of folk and rock, and their lyrics were sung in southern Serbian dialects .

The band became known for their controversial lyrics and their cheeky clothes. They almost always wore Serbian folk clothing , such as the Šajkača and Opanke . They often combined traditional clothing with tuxedos , fur coats or undershirts .

Before and during the fall of Yugoslavia , songs like Pomozi bože! (God help us!) Or Tajna večera (The Secret Supper), which were intended to deliberately provoke the government of the time.

history

The band was founded in 1977 by Boris Bizetić, who wrote and sang the songs, the singer Zvonko Milenković, Branislav Anđelović and Branko Janković. The rockers recorded 19 albums from 1977 until they broke up in 1991. The best-selling album was Krkenzi kikiriki from 1980. The biggest hits were Turio Ljubiša pivo da se 'ladi ( Ljubiša put the beer cold), Ja Tarzan a ti Džejn (I Tarzan, you Jane), Stojadinka ovce šiša (Stojadinka shears the sheep ) and Seks na eks (sex on ex).
