The UHC Linz is the first Linzer Floorball club and was founded in 2008 by members of the Floorball Association FBV Wels and students of the University of Linz as a section of the sports club ASKÖ founded in Linz center. The club has hosted the international Austrian Floorball Open several times since it was founded. He is a member of the umbrella organization ASKÖ Upper Austria and the Austrian Floorball Association (ÖFBV) and has the club colors red / black.
Men's Bundesliga (Großfeld)
UHC Linz has played in the Austrian (large field) Bundesliga since the 2008/09 season and switched to the 2nd Bundesliga for the 2014/15 season. In the 2015/16 season, UHC Linz formed a syndicate with the Starbulls Salzburg and again took part in the 1st Bundesliga (6th place). After no league participation in the 2016/17 season, UHC Linz had to start again in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2017/18 season and was able to win it sovereignly (5 wins / 1 loss in the preliminary round, playoff win against FBC Dragons) . This fixed promotion to the first Bundesliga for the 2018/19 season.
