history

The original Uniti association of German independent fuel and mineral oil importers was founded in 1927.

In the 1930s UNITI obtained its mineral oil products mainly from Deutsche Vacuum Oil and DEA , as these did not have their own sales organizations .

The large independent companies like NITAG issued their Uniti road maps with their own cover sheet in the 1930s , while the smaller Uniti members left the maps unchanged.

In 1935 the association was renamed Uniti Vereinigung deutscher Betriebsstoffgroßhändler eV and dissolved in 1939 after the introduction of mineral oil management .

On July 1, 1947, the association was re-established under the name UNITI Association of German Fuel Wholesalers .

On January 1, 2009, the General Association of German Fuel and Mineral Oil Trade eV (gdbm) merged with Uniti.
