Collins Aerospace is a US company and is part of Raytheon Technologies . It was created in 2012 under the name UTC Aerospace Systems through the merger of Hamilton Sundstrand with Goodrich . Hamilton Sundstrand itself was formed in 1999 through a merger of Hamilton Standard and the Sundstrand Corporation .

The main focus of Collins Aerospace is the manufacture of various components for the operation of aircraft . There are generators for electricity generation, as well as the digital controller for modern engines manufactured. Collins Aerospace also supplies NASA's spacesuits. As a system supplier, Collins Aerospace also offers the integration of various systems for complete networking within an aircraft. As a result, Collins Aerospace is present in many aircraft with various systems, including Boeing , Airbus , Bombardier and Embraer among its customers.

In 2002 it was announced that Hamilton would become a development partner of Cargolifter AG and take care of the electrical power generation system.

In 2018 UTC Aerospace Systems was renamed Collins Aerospace.
