features

The fonts are available as TrueType with OpenType features. They currently contain around 1200 glyphs and thus cover the extended Latin and Cyrillic alphabet as well as large parts of the Greek alphabet. They contain manually created hints for better display on monitors. Arabic and Hebrew are to follow and appear as a test version in Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerus) (April 2016).

In the Linux distribution Ubuntu , the Ubuntu font family from version 10.10 (2010) is used as the standard (Ubuntu package ttf-ubuntu-font-family). The font is also used in the Ubuntu logo and other Ubuntu trademarks. The Ubuntu Font Family is included in the Google Fonts .
