Udo Branahl

Udo Branahl (born January 13, 1946 in Minden ) is a German media lawyer .

Life

1965-1973 Branahl studied law at the Free University of Berlin and at the University of Hamburg , where he both legal state examination took off and with a thesis on "press freedom and editorial co-determination" doctorate was. From 1979 to 2011 he was professor for media law at the Technical University of Dortmund , where he also held the position of data protection officer . His successor on the chair for media law at the Institute for Journalism is Tobias Gostomzyk .

Branahl is on the editorial board of the specialist journalist , the quarterly self-published customer magazine of the Berlin company "DFJV Deutscher Fachjournalisten-Verband AG".
