The Ueno Zoo ( Japanese 恩賜 上 野 動物園 , Onshi ueno dōbutsuen ) is a zoo in Ueno Park ( Tokyo Taitō District , Ueno District ), Japan.

It was founded in 1882, making it the oldest zoo in Japan . He is best known for his two giant pandas . The zoo is divided into two parts by a road in a notch, which is connected by a bridge and the Ueno-Zoo monorail . Over 2600 animals represent 464 animal species.
