Uepsen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Uepsen is a district of Asendorf in Lower Saxony . It is located about 50 km south of Bremen, 4 km west of federal highway 6 . Uepser Straße runs right through the village and connects Asendorf with Päpsen.

Uepsen was first mentioned in a document in 1010 and was owned by noble families for a long time . With the dissolution of the joint community of Asendorf, the community of Uepsen was united with Asendorf, Brebber, Essen, Graue, Haendorf, Hohenmoor and Kuhlenkamp to form the rural community of Asendorf on March 1, 1974.

The village, which has only a few inhabitants, offers an old tree split by lightning as a sight .

In addition to long-established farmers and craftsmen ( blacksmiths , carpenters, etc.), numerous service providers have also settled in and around Uepsen in the recent past . There are now also web designers and small wastewater treatment plant producers there.
