history

Uhudla was published for the first time in 1991 in Burgenland as a joke newspaper. The name was chosen based on the Uhudler (wine made from the grapes of hybrid vines ), against whose ban the Uhudla campaigned. The name is the motto of the sheet resist: U nabhängig, H hite, U rig, D emokratisch, L andläufig, A ußergewöhnlich.

Up to December 2013, 99 editions of Uhudla had been published. Editor Max Wachter has chosen the founder of the Drahdiwaberl music group, Stefan Weber, as the honorary "President" of Uhudla .
