The von Uissigheim family was a Frankish noble family.

history

The eponymous seat of the family, which is also known as Ußicksheim , was Uissigheim Castle in Uissigheim . The von Rosenberg family with the same coat of arms emerged from the family and named themselves after their possessions in Rosenberg . Due to their possessions, the Uissigheimers were organized in the knight canton of Odenwald and Rhön-Werra . The genealogist Johann Gottfried Biedermann described the family tree.

The coat of arms is divided and split five times. The upper half shows alternating six red and silver rectangles, the lower half alternating six silver and red rectangles.
