The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America , abbreviated to UCCA (German: Ukrainian Congress Committee of America), is an American interest group of Ukrainians in exile in the USA . It was founded in 1940 and functions as an umbrella organization for 20 different groups and comprises more than 75 departments.

The UCCA became a reservoir for members of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists after World War II . Within this organization there was wing fighting, which in 1980 led to the takeover of the UCCA by the ultra-nationalist followers Stepan Banderas . Since then, it has no longer been able to claim to represent all Ukrainians in the USA. In the 1980s, the UCCA developed good political connections with the Reagan administration , the then chairman of the UCCA, Lev Dobriansky, was appointed US ambassador, his daughter Paula Dobriansky worked for the National Security Council . The organization has relations with the Republican Party .
