The Ukrainian Embassy in Moscow is the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in the Russian Federation .

history

In 1991 Ukraine declared itself independent. On December 5, 1991 independence was recognized by the Russian Federation and on February 14, 1992 diplomatic relations were established between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

The embassy building is located in the Presnensky district of the Central Administrative District in 125009 Moscow at Leontjewski pereulok ( Леонтьевский переулок ) No. 18.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Russian Federation

The last Ukrainian ambassador to Russia until December 2015 was Volodymyr Yeltschenko . Since then, the Counselor ( Радника-посланника ) Ruslan Nimtschynskyj ( Руслан Михайлович Німчинський ) has been acting on a temporary basis.
