Ulf Schmidt (born November 2, 1967 ) is a German-British historian .

Life

He received his PhD from Oxford . He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and Professor of Modern History at the University of Kent . In the winter semester 2020/2021 he accepted a position at the University of Hamburg .
