Ully Loup (born October 9, 1961 in Jülich ; actually Ulrich Loup ) is a German illusionist .

In 1995 Loup migrated to the USA and has since worked mainly as a stage magician in Berlin and Los Angeles . He is a member of the Magical Circle of Germany and the renowned Academy of Magical Arts .

Artistic career

With a gift box and a crucial visit from the artist Richiardo Jr , Loup decided at the age of 14 to become an illusionist. After training as a toolmaker , he moved to Berlin in 1984, where he has been an artist since 1988.

In 1994 Loup got the opportunity to perform a magic show in the Berlin winter garden in the New Year's Eve show. The success of this event led to further engagements. Since 1997 he has been an integral part of the vaudeville cast as a house magician for solo performances and children's shows. Loup is also part of several hiking variety shows, u. a. he is traveling with the Circus Roncalli . After various television appearances, Loup has also been known to audiences outside of the variety show since participating in the television program The next Uri Geller in 2009.

Away from the stage, he has been a long-time demonstrator in all promotional videos for the company Spider, a well-known manufacturer of stage backdrops.

From 1981 to 2003 he wrote regular articles for the journal Magische Welt , mainly dealing with the history of magic.

In addition to stand-up , Loup is primarily a close-up magician . So he performs his tricks in close proximity to the audience. Acting skills reinforce the stage presence of his various roles, from the clown for children's animation to the gloomy angel of death. His repertoire mainly includes classic as well as simple magic tricks, which he sells effectively by playing roles during the presentation. His representation work does not focus on the Prestigio , but encompasses the entire appearance.

For its participation in the television program The next Uri Geller , the broadcaster ProSieben Loup added an unhappy childhood and other supposedly unfavorable influencing factors to support the role of a shy, gloomy mentalist . On TV Total, he described this gloom as an intended psychodrama .
