Ulrich Neumann (Manager)

Ulrich Neumann (born October 6, 1903 , † February 5, 1977 ) was a German engineer and manager .

Ulrich Neumann was CEO of MAN AG from 1954 to 1969 ; his successor was Karl Schott. MAN Turbo GmbH was founded under his leadership in 1965 . The sale of the Esslingen machine factory to Daimler-Benz also enabled further entrepreneurial involvement in engine construction.

At the suggestion of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, he received an honorary doctorate Dr.-Ing. of the TU Braunschweig .

He was a member of the Catholic student associations KDStV Borusso-Saxonia Berlin and KDStV Germania Berlin .
