Ulrike Haß (linguist)
Ulrike Haß (temporarily also: Ulrike Haß-Zumkehr ; * 1954 in Essen ) is a German specialist in German .
Academic biography
Ulrike Haß studied German and history at the Universities of Konstanz and Heidelberg . After the first state examination, she did her doctorate in Heidelberg in 1985 on a synonymous dictionary of the 16th century. She completed her habilitation in 1994 with a habilitation grant from the DFG, also at Heidelberg University, on German studies and lexicography in the 19th century.
From 1984 to 2005 she worked as a scientist at the Institute for the German Language (IDS) in Mannheim. From 1999 to 2005 she was head of the Lexicon Department . Since 2000 she has also been Professor of German Linguistics at the University of Mannheim .
Since 2005 she has been professor for German linguistics at the University of Duisburg-Essen . She is a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences in Göttingen .
